Concrete pumps are used for transferring liquid concrete by pumping.
A concrete pump is a mechanism that is used to distribute wet concrete at construction sites. A built-in diesel engine is used to power a hydraulic system that supplies mechanical effort for the wet concrete to be pumped and poured in areas that are not easy for larger pieces of equipment to get to.
It accomplishes this by using a type of large hose or pipes that attach at the point of output of the concrete pump. Before leaving the machine, the wet concrete travels through a receiving hopper, pumping cylinders, and a valve system that regulates the volume of concrete that flows through the hose or pipes.
